Volunteers are the life blood of any not-for-profit and the NWALC is no different. We have a variety of Volunteer opportunities available within our organization.
Our Volunteer Tutors are essential to the success of our learning programs. Working one-on-one with adult learners, our Volunteer Tutors help to improve reading, writing, numeracy and digital literacy skills. Meetings with the adult learners take place at a time and location convenient to both parties. Usually meetings are once or twice a week at our office, a local library or other public location. We provide the training and support to get you started – you provide the time and dedication to make a difference to adult learners in Niagara West. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Tutor, please contact us.
Community Garden Volunteers
The NWALC is a member of the Niagara West Community Garden Collective and have Beamsville’s only Community Garden on site. The gardens are always seeking Volunteers to assist with maintenance, repairs, workshops and events. If you are interested in helping “grow” the community gardens, please contact us.
